(Head office: Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture; President: Toshinori Ndama; hereinafter "Chiba Station Building") and ECOMMIT Corporation (Head office: Satsumasukawauchi City, Kagoshima Prefecture; President: Teruyuki Kawano; hereinafter "ECOMMIT"), which operates a reuse and recycling business for a recycling-based society, have agreed to establish a joint venture company, Chiba Station Building, Inc. (headquartered in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture; Teruyuki Kawano, President; hereinafter "ECOMMIT") has been working to reduce waste and recycle resources in the Chiba area.
ECOMMIT's service is designed to reduce the amount of waste in the Chiba area and contribute to the recycling of resources.
ECOMMIT will start offering "PASSTO," a service that collects, sorts and re-distributes unwanted items, at "Perie Chiba," a commercial facility directly connected to the station (JR Perie Chiba) on October 11, 2023.
The service will be introduced at "Perrier Chiba" (JR Chiba Station) and "Perrier Kaihin Makuhari" (JR Kaihin Makuhari Station), commercial facilities directly connected to the stations, and free collection of clothes will start on October 11, 2023.
The company will also start free collection of clothing. This will be the second case of "PASSTO" being installed in Chiba Prefecture, following the Nagareyama Post Office, and the first at a commercial facility in the prefecture.
