What is the SASUTENA Point (Project)?

SASUTENA POINT is a program in which companies (and local governments) issue points to consumers for their environmentally conscious behavior within the framework of the Ministry of the Environment's "Green Life Point Promotion Project for Food and Life". In addition to contributing to the reduction of environmental burdens, the issuance of points promotes the revitalization of the local economy.

As a first step, we are currently testing a system to issue "SASUTENA points" for bringing in unwanted clothes, etc. in cooperation with supporting stores, etc. in Saga City. By setting up collection boxes mainly at stores located along the daily activity line, consumers can more easily take environmental action.

About the demonstration project in Saga City

From November 16, 2022 to February 28, 2023, a demonstration project to award points for bringing in unwanted clothes, hats, belts, bags, etc. will be conducted in collaboration with stores and other organizations in Saga City. Citizens who cooperate in the collection will be given "SASUTENA points" that can be exchanged for coupons that can be used at sponsoring stores and other locations in Saga City.

The collected clothing will be reused and recycled through "WEAR to FASHION" and properly circulated. In addition, based on the accumulated environmental action data, the project effects will be verified from the perspective of environmental improvement activities and economic activities.

This is a collaborative effort with Saga City

In promoting this project, MCC and Saga City have concluded an "Agreement on Cooperation in Environmentally Conscious Local Resource Recycling, etc.".

Based on the collaboration agreement, Saga City supports the development of local companies and public relations activities for citizens, while ecommit provides the circulation infrastructure and know-how, system development, data infrastructure, trace management, and visualization of the status of initiatives.
